Damage In Tolland
Hoping the nw edge can deliver some goods here. Even an inch or two would be sweet. It's close to that. 600-500vvs are very high just to my south.Yeah that NW fronto band is going to produce . Key that folks don't focus on qpf placement on this. That's why It snows to and even north of pike

I think even on the GFS I would be too far north..probably you for that matter, but it's right on the line.
N. OF PIKE
the progressive trend on this system is just disgusting, the .25 line gets up to a line from pitt,pa to just n of state college, that it zips e/ene right to pym, ma horrible. seems that .25 line is a bit more w-e than the storm's actual heading thou. which is bordering on more ne from hrs 36-

Baroclinic Zone
GGEM looks like RGEM. Add the Ukie to the mix as well. These plus the GFS all look like a 2-4" deal for SCT/ SRI/ SE MA/ CC. Nogaps looks OTS.

Nogaps looks OTS. 2-4" sounds good, nice advisory event to freshen up the pack from it's dullness caused by 3 days of melting. Could see this closing school down here, the timing is awful(comes in the overnight, tapers off 10ish?), and so even a delay might not be enough time to get all the roads clear. They tried to pull off an early closing on friday, were the only district in the state to do so, and got slammed from multiple channels from it, the attendance rate was something like 40%. So, they probably will be very cautious after that mistake... -skisheep

SR Airglow
Westport also did a half day on Friday.... Good to know, was not aware of that. People are ranting about being the only district in the state open down here, guess we're not alone. Still was not the right decision though, and they know it, so I think they err on the side of caution regarding this. -skisheep

Clinch Leatherwood
Some local districts going to optional school rest of the week. Water damage from burst pipes. Some schools closed indefinitely. Will make road work a little easier later in the week.

At least down here, by 12 when schools got out, the roads were starting to get ugly, driving in 3-4 inches of SN with it coming down hard really isn't a safe situation. -skisheep
Cold Miser
the progressive trend on this system is just disgusting... No. What is disgusting is having an epic blizzard followed by 2 days of 40F, or greater. This is not only disgusting, but putrid and uncalled for. 44F right now. Makes me want to lose my lunch.
