famartin
Back to sleet here. The critical line must be wavering right over top of me. There's a cold tongue of air which seems to have moved south over NYC metro. Perhaps coming south out of the Hudson Valley. This seems to have pushed the rain/snow line into a more east/west orientation rather than the expected northeast/southwest one... which is why its raining in Reading and Gilbertsville but snowing in NYC. famartin
Cad? Not exactly. More like a drainage wind. CAD is usually cold that gets stuck in the eastern flanks of the mtns. But its warmer out by RDG than in NYC, which is not normal for CAD.

SP
Currently the pocono cabin has a 24F temp with freezing fog, which you can see as ice on the tree branches. There was a dusting of snow earlier.
famartin
dryslot IDK if anyone has really noticed but precip seems to have great difficulty getting much further NW. I know I've seen posts about the surface low being more west but the precip shield, at least so far, doesn't show any corresponding westward shift that I can see. Maybe it will later. Sunny and Warm
dryslot well the low is easily identified off the VA Capes. Seems closer to the coast than I recall depicted by the models. How long before we see the visible signs of energy transfer over the MD/VA mountains?

Fields27
I think every animated forecast radar I saw had that lack of nw progression shown for the better part of the day until the phase then it really filled in nicely. For whatever that's worth... Not doing much of anything here.
