RCNYILWX
1.3" between 1am and 2am in College Point. 9.3" total so far. I think we'll easily crack a foot with the mod-heavy snow falling now and the blinding snow to come with the epic finale band.

winterwx21
Never seen it snow this hard. Easily 2 a hr rate It was a lot more than that here. I went out and measured 7.5 inches right before that hit. Just went out now, 15 minutes later, and I have 8.5". Just INSANE squall line of snow that was. Now it's down to very light snow. 8.5 is probably gonna be the final total here.
Absolute Humidity
That nuclear band is moving in now. It's beginning to pour snow. Hope it gets me to 8 I'm sitting around 6 now.

sferic
Somehow I think that convergance front or wave will merge with the action on LI and slows down and lays down some serious stuff in Nass cnty, if it slows down all bets are off for nassau, anything is possible we have seen with this storm,
nzucker
wow indeed but this is it after that wave comes through,.its the exclamation point! I don't see much developing after this wave...that's a bit disappointing as I thought we could snow moderately till around 4am here. We'll probably wrap up around 2:45 which will stop me from getting my 18" storm. Annoying.
mgerb
Final heavy band was great. Just wish it lasted longer, as it was really piling up fast (I agree with the 2-3" hour estimates). By far the heaviest snow from the event. Just measured 7.6". I'm quite pleased, especially considering I only had picked up around 2" before the early evening break. winterwx21
So that had to be close to 4 inch an hour rate with that line. Mind boggling.

Storm At Sea
This was probably one of the best turn-arounds that I have seen...to think that much of C NJ completely shut off from precipitating to heavy snow and 6 in. of accum. is quite unusual for this area during a major storm. Usually these back end events don't develop or live up to expectations.
NYCSuburbs
Cresskill, NJ (eastern Bergen county) - getting a 35dbz band about to move in directly overhead. This should be interesting...
