4km nam has about 0.5-0.75 in for most of the NYC metro and NE NJ area from 12am until 6am. the radar matches up more or less. Do we see that much qpf? doubtful. But that might be a good starting point for additional accums (ie bc of ratios) of 5-7in max if you get in on a very nice band. Possibly more especially with that weenie band out on LI

gotta assume higher ratios considering the amt of snow I have received in the last 2 hrs...

18" in Southbury, CT. 3" in last 45 minutes.

The coverage of S+ is just unreal right now... delayed but not denied.

Only 5" in Forest Hills, will probably end with 10-12.  Oh well... beautiful to see.

But, going to visit family in Stony Brook tomorrow... they may get 3 feet! From New Haven down to Bridgeport may break their all time snowfall records...

with these rates snow is piling up fast. Wish I could get a measurement just watching from above. Pretty awesome looking radar

It's so hard to measure or even guess in most of Manhattan. I usually just go with whatever the Park has, despite what people say they are almost always quite accurate (having lived near it for 5 years now I would know).

ace what we lookin at so far? south shore is definitely recovering it looks like (modestly at least)

i had an event tonight  walked home at 1030 to hard snow (almost sleet but not SNPL) thought we were toast - the moment i got home, voila, heavy snow. 5+"in 2 hrs.

Sitting with 6" total. Think another 6 is feasible....

Ya I mean I walked around before and you could kinda guess how much fell based on whats on the street and pavement/on cars. It's obviously not too accurate though.
