TWCCraig
This is amazing. The band over me is oriented N to S, and all the precip is going right to me. Makes up for all the sleet that fell.

Storm At Sea
In New Brunswick, it's ripping at about 1.5 in/hr. This is type of deformation banding where you lay down 8-12 inches in no time much like the 12/31/00 storm. Very distinct bands over NJ associated with the old primary VVEL and snow ratios will allow 2-3"/hr rates grlevel3 2013-02-09 00-18-29-54.png
Superstorm93
IDK... With 1-3"/hr rates and these increasing ratios, I think its possible to get 3-6" more

Which is why some are going to be VERY surprised when they wake up tomorrow morning. A lot of people calling bust too before it played out, which isn't exactly surprising. famartin
Parents had 0.53" liquid for their 2.2" of snow thru midnight. Of course that counts the rain from earlier too.

This reminds me a lot of 12/31/00 I think CNJ will luck out big time with these bands.

WE GOT HIM
We really could have another 6 hours of this here, most of the short range models have the precip ending from northwest to southeast Edit: HRRR and RAP both show 8 more hours of moderate precip
jm1220
5" or so now, still coming down very heavy. Really hoping we can make a run at 10" given the radar-looking good.

jm1220
We really could have another 6 hours of this hear, most of the short range models have the precip ending from northwest to southeast The snow will likely die down from north to south as the forcing shifts east overnight. This won't pull out from west to east as most storms do. I remember Boxing Day 2010 ending the same way here.
