NorthNJwx
It should probably be described more accurately as whiteout conditions That's definitely more accurate. Super low vis in very heavy snow - whiteout.

Rjay
I really don't think anyone in our metro area is verifing s+, winds of 35 mph and vis 1/4 mile or less more for 3 hours. But it is certainly ripping out there with gusty winds and low vis.

tmagan
Everyone's going hog wild with reports of blizzard conditions. Ya'll know you need gusts to 35 mph for that, right? No one is getting that in NYC metro right now. That battle was lost a long time ago.
Superstorm93
All of CNJ/NNJ is getting hit hard.
Kaner587
4km nam has about 0.5-0.75 in for most of the NYC metro and NE NJ area from 12am until 6am. the radar matches up more or less. Do we see that much qpf? doubtful. But that might be a good starting point for additional accums (ie bc of ratios) of 5-7in max if you get in on a very nice band. Possibly more especially with that weenie band out on LI
