jm1220
Roughly 19.0 inches of snow in Port Jefferson today as of 10:45 PM. Wow, you can pretty much lock 30" in up there. Incredible-I have a little over 2" now on the south shore. But we're finally ripping-visibility a couple of blocks.

jm1220
This stuff should sit over us until well after midnight-pretty much it will finally die out on us from north to south hopefully around pre-dawn.

It never really fully changed to rain here today, but the bulk was from 2 p.m. till now. We picked up about 5 inches between 3:30 and 5.

SACRUS
Coming down nicely now. Rotating bands from SI/Brooklyn heading west into NE-NJ. Looking nice. About 2 - 3 inches. Lots of sleet and ice. Quite slippery out there.

Roger Smith
Could see additional 10-15 inches in central Long Island as the low deepens and the NNW gradient increases across Long Island Sound. This picture for posterity:
SnowDemon
That would push us near 20 if DT were right, lol.
JBG
I went for a jeb-walk (jog) earlier. While the storm is a bust on the low side it still is beautiful compared to this winter (except November 7) and last "winter" (except October 29). This is a real winter; not an extraordinary one but a real one nevertheless. This storm is not producing 1+ inches per hour, any extraordinary wind or temperatures. But here's a nice pic:
