Animal
No way Wayne has 12 - a historic 3.5 on west Milford - got to love the hype I saw some report of 8 inches earlier on the news. I thought it was suspect. Teh met guy Lonnie Quinn(sp) was getting wood! 4.7 in Highland Lakes. Cheers, Matt
Chris L
I'm getting some sleet again...I'm near the back end of the precip...This could end up like March 2001... Ehh, March 01 was the extreme example....

Chris L
The opposite of December 2009 for Long Island.... '09, South Shore got killed. This time? North Shore. Same for NYC-NJ where under dry slot.
GD0815
ireally think the people giving up on NYC snow are going to be eating crow tmr....south shore nassau the sleet is the problem obviously, but that ominous band is moving west, the primary is dead finally and we have a really good deform zone with great ratios later. not saying anyone outside of suffolk is seeing 20 inches, but i still expect double digits to verify everywhere exceptmaybe south shore LI
toople
Snow is picking up agian. I am in Nutley, Nj (very northeast in Essex County)
WintersGrasp
Geez... :/ 3 maybe 4 inches here in NE NJ....flurries, light snow, flurries while I watch them get slammed to my east and snow in PA to my west...was this forecasted ? For them not to come together ? Westward expansion seems halted and/or diminishing as it crosses into NJ
nyblizz44
*sigh*. Will be happy with 8" total at this point. So disappointing. Look at this amazing radar and your hope will start to build. there is a deform band building over Queens & Manhatten as I type. press refresh and watch the DBZ's increase subtly in the last few frames ( 20 minutes) http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/

WintersGrasp
Actually....the radar looks EXACTLY like modeled in a way. If you take the .5 (blue) line in the model's qpf field...that's where it is now ! LI is getting now actually what the NAM modeled over me and NYC a couple days ago

NorthShoreWx
10.3" as of 7PM. Temp down to 30. The pingers in the past hour slowed us down a little...only about an inch. We are on the western edge of that killer band and have been alternating between very heavy snow and lighter snows with a few pingers for the past 30 minutes. weatherweather
I think it will get here, it will just take awhile. but it looks like its pivoting, which means when it gets here it will be going in a due ene direction and we'll only get it for a short duration
