MikeS
I heard a report of 12 inches in Wayne, NJ - can anyone confirm? I am in Wayne and unless someone is measuring some sort of drift there is no way they have 12". I just went outside to measure and it's about 6.75"
CTNoreaster
7 inches in Westport, CT - 1.3 inches in the past hour! Drifts forming at the beach.
Ger
Has the storm truly bombed yet? I remember Feb 11 2006. I thought it was all over around 1am only to get 16 inches in about 4 hours for a total of 20 inches once the bombogenesis happened
LongBeachSurfFreak
Nothing but sleet about an inch of it. Major major bust on the way here!
MikeS
And it looks like my area is about to enter the dry slot. We have a very light snow falling currently.
JonClaw
CC finally has the sleet mix changing to snow over Queens. Eastern Nassau getting screwed.
SnowDemon
Radar shows us on the very edge of the dryslot, but eastern Rockland just might avoid it. At any rate, still snowing moderately soutside.

PB GFI
Am starting to think pp may see a range on long island from 6 to 20. South shore to north shore
IsentropicLift
I heard a report of 12 inches in Wayne, NJ - can anyone confirm? I'm 6" here in Pompton Plains which borders Wayne, but Wayne is huge so I wouldn't automatically say it's not true.

ace0927
I'm guessing when that band comes down from PA there is going to be a screw zone somewhere, its likely an intense mesoscale band will form somewhere in that area of snow in ERN NJ-Queens and a heavy band will continue in the main axis over LI....Nassau County might be the place to watch to get screwed as we approach midnight. so no different the rest of the storm
SnowGoose69
The band of slightly heavier echoes stretching from WRN Fairfeld/Ern Westchester down across Nassau/Queens is ever so slightly trying to pivot west.
swataz
And back to heavy snow. Is this thing moving faster than progged?
jm1220
Am starting to think pp may see a range on long island from 6 to 20. South shore to north shore If you would've told me 24 hours ago that this is how LI would end up, I would've laughed hysterically. Rte. 25 and north could end up with 2 feet. patrick05
Haven't measured yet but it looks like we have about 3 inches of snow and sleet combination... Currently a mix of snow and sleet
WintersGrasp
I'm holding out hope that I will get into that intense snow band once it gets going in NE NJ. Maybe another 7" or so hopefully. Only at 3" now
Cheticus
I've got about 6 inches of heavy wet snow on the ground here in the Greenlawn/Elwood area of Long Island and it's coming down hard. I drove up from Massapequa on route 110 around 5:30 and the LIE was the clear dividing line between sleet and ridiculous snow.
SnowGoose69
If you would've told me 24 hours ago that this is how LI would end up, I would've laughed hysterically. Rte. 25 and north could end up with 2 feet. It was possible to envision heavy snows in Suffolk, but not this random sporadic mixing
