Its really neat to watch these things evolve on radar now with the CC, isn't it?  I'm fascinated just watching it fluctuate! :weenie:

It seems pretty accurate.  As I read this I checked the dual pol and indeed saw us right near the edge of a little bump north over central LI...and exactly that moment heard a few pingers for the first time in a couple of hours.  Very cool indeed.  I'll probably be glued to that dual pol now.

Its down to exactly 32 here with moderate snow (except for those pingers a couple of minutes ago).  We have 1.1" new snow since the change over as of 3PM.

Ray - presumably you're talking about the dual-polarization radar in cc mode (correlation coefficient - not sure why they use a statistics term to describe it), correct?  Is there a good source to view this (I don't see anything about it on the NWS page)?  Thanks.

Just started ripping snow here in Metuchen - it's been mostly sleet since 1:45 pm, but now we're 90/10 snow/sleet.
