This is the oddest configuration I can recall seeing of the R/S line, I'm guessing there is a tongue of SE winds still at 900mb nosing in from SE to NW from the Atlantic over BKLYN/Queens/NYC area and there are NE winds aloft out over Suffolk.

Its really neat to watch these things evolve on radar now with the CC, isn't it?  I'm fascinated just watching it fluctuate! :weenie:

Transitioning back to all snow here in central Queens/Maspeth after about an hour of sleetfest which commenced with snow that managed to coat the ground/streets. Very gusty winds as well. Once the changeover occurs accumulations will tally quickly.

Wow! Someone else in Maspeth! That's a first more snow mixing in again.

Wow! Like others have said- it's like someone flipped a switch - the Blizzard Switch! In an hour conditions have completely deteriorated. I feel bad for anyone out on the road right now. Also the temp dropped to 33.4 now. Hearing some sleet but still coming down at a good clip.
