The rain/snow line has stopped collapsing south on dual pol.

Yeah until we get that wind north of 050-060 it won't undergo any sort of rapid push, on 12/25/02 it sat in the area its roughly in now, maybe a bit north for about 90 minutes then once everyone went N it crashed quickly.

It had gone over to mostly snow in Flushing near Main St and Booth Memorial under some heavier rates but now it's back to mainly sleet with some snow mixed in.

According to correlation coefficient on OKX, the snow/mix line is just south of the north shore of LI and cuts through lower Manhattan.

I'm looking at trafficland cameras and literally the south Bronx, Astoria, and LGA are snow but just south about 2 miles is sleet.

Quick check of accumulated precip down in DE, SNJ area suggests that the NAM was a little too wet and the GFS was a little too dry.  No big surprise there.  It's difficult to say which was closer because of the sparseness of official measurements.  Some really heavy rain down in SNJ, esp eastern shore.

Same in Maspeth, Queens, just west of you. Intermittently going from snow to sleet/snow mix after an initial burst of moderate snow which managed to coat the sidewalks and the streets besides for the driving lanes. We're right on the line.

Euro has had the right idea the entire time. Euro thermals were also correct for this area.

Quite the fine line. I'd assume that once the really heavy precip moving in from the south arrives the mix line will collapse south pretty quickly.
