Measured 7.5" of snow in Port Jefferson as of 5:30 PM.

William...this is awsome.  9" on the ground here as of 6:10.  In a couple of spots I measured almost 10.  We had 5" at 5PM.

I heard a few pingers a few minutes ago...but so far those incursions have been trivial.

Shocking amount of snow in just the last 3 hrs in central LI. Temps at 32.5 switching to moderate snow and ice pellets. Just incredible. Snowflakes consistently the size of meatballs. This is a top 5 for me even if it stops right this moment.

How much do you have?

Yep so far so good Ed...and once we are past 8:30 PM or so..any threat of sleet should be over.
