Still snowing hard here and another strong bnd just offshore moving in. I think there is reorganization of the banding and eastern ma is going to rock seriously for many hours. I expect to have 25-30 before its over. One reason is the cf is now s of Boston and like Diane my temp dropped precipitously awhile ago. Great things ahead for many of us.

 

 

Jerry, enjoy this very much. I have no doubt you will crack 30".

a foot of snow in 2 hours lol..Never in my wildest dream

 

I saw that once - in the early 90s.  Still haven't seen anything like it but this was dam close.  My 4"/hr stuff is down to 1-2"/hr.  I'm about to try and go out again and verify that.  Tomorrow I'll do a better job by measuring in multiple places but I'm doing the best I can now.

Notice the serious snowfall rates disappear at the same time CAA commences and the coastal front begins to suck back to the SE. The intense frontogenesis is weakening now, and so are the insane rates with it.

 

Yeah, now come the long-lasting, yet not as insane rates.
