WeatherNC
Massive frontogenesis in CT. Look how the echoes immediately cutoff to moderate to heavy over ern CT. That is frontogenesis folks.

dendrite
Will that likely have a northward extension as time goes by? I'm in central Merrimack so this is imby. Fascinating trying to figure out where the best bands set up. There is stuff rotation slowly nw from coastal nh and ne mass, but that band in central mass is what I hope forms nne. Just follow the band moving NW through Rockingham County now on GYX rad.
SnowMan
It might be..the whole thing my pivot and then sort of build east while we get the CCB here and then that band later tonight and tom morning. Told you you'd get it. Scott - I don't know you...but I am pumped for you and Jerry...
Cloudsncontrails
Crazy thing is we haven't had any thunderi was thinking the same exact thing Blizz and we have been in the band dropping 4-6" per hour. Crazy.

DomNH
Pivot point probably Middlesex/Hillsborough counties. I really hope so. Haven't seen snow like this since Jan. '11.
SR Airglow
Agree...we're close enough--look at Greenwich-dryslotted b/w bands...ugh Snow picked up here, but feel horrible for greenwich, their going through what i'd been going through for 2 hours. SN bordering on SN+ here, radar looking nice for later, still think 10" more is going to happen. Does 10" more from this point seem reasonable, fellow SW CT snowlovers?(assuming that I don't end up screwed again by the bands...) -skisheep
Natester
Imagine if this storm took place in late October... It would have been 100 times worse than the Halloween 2011 snowstorm.
Sugarloaf1989
I believe it Chris I went from 8" in the 7 o'clock hour to 12" an hour later and at 9:30 I just measured 19" in Coventry. I had such a hard time believing it I measured over and over in different areas and verified it within a half an inch. Where abouts are you located? I am on Grant Hill/Dunn Road. Amped
Two hours ago that band in CT appeared it wouldn't pivot west. Looks like the phase finally happened. The "Elbo band" (Lack of a better term) on the CT NY border is lighting up for those who didn't get the death band.
tavwtby
3hrs is too frequent and technically isn't considered a valid ob. 6hrs is the most frequent allowed. my first was 6, then I got too excited that I couldn't wait
