I went out for a measurement and it was painful. Seems to have let up now. When you mentioned hail storm I just figured they were opaque hydrometeors. Sounds crazy down there. mahofan Posted February 9, 2013 Share Posted February 9, 2013 Groton CT - lost power about 6:30. Flickered for a while, then finally lost it. The thunder and lightening has been unreal. Illuminates the sky a shade of blue. Lots of heavy, wet snow weighing down the limbs. Looking out into the backyard is just a thing of beauty. Seems to be sleeting the past 40 minutes or so.
