Those stronger echos that are south of LI working north is likely sleet or mix with sleet so once those bands work northward and become all snow the echos are going to lighten up.

There is probably some sleet in there, but I doubt they will lighten up much.  The 40-50 dbz are stil holding strong into the sound, and it's all snow in the sound at this point.

I dunno if it's temps or the relative min you guys have been under. Heaviest has definitely been from HVN points west thus far.

 

True...we were pretty light through 2 o'clock other than a few brief burst of moderate here or there. A little frustrating because everytime I think we're going to moderate for good, we flop back to light. Looking pretty good again right now.
