I have been through 78 and all the others, and last night with the deathband and 10 minutes of thundersnow( which I finally caught on film) and the totals are the most I have ever seen. Like all of you I have been a passionate about weather since a child and this is what it is all about folks!

Our first selectman says all roads are passible...although my road hasn't been touched since 10pm...about 10" on it. Been watching my neighbor attempt to get his snowplow out of his driveway the past hour. Really hope he gets it going...was counting on him to clear the snow bank at the end of the driveway.

Same here. Thanks, Willie!

Do you have power? We lost it around 6:30 last night and are still without it.

You may want to extend that 30-36" band NE based on the Staffordville report along with Spencer, MA (along the same line).

Overall incredible totals for CT and SNE.  One for the record books, that's for sure.

Yeah I see the Staffordville total now.

That will be the new state record.

FWIW, I've put a bunch of the stuff that I saved from the past couple of days up on my storm monitoring site.  I'll work on an index page when I have a chance and clean things up a bit but in case someone was looking for something, here it is:

If anyone wants to add something, PM me but it's kind of centered around my area.

Insane totals out of CT. North Haven/Hamden/Wallingord area got destroyed.  36" here in Wallingford. I put up pictures in the picture thread.

I put down 27 inches in the snow table thread, but after driving around town I would not doubt that report. Town is shut down and overwhelmed, media is crawling all over this place.....from sandy to the blizzard of 2013 we are the center of the weather universe.....

Well, not official but I will get up along the coast and do some measuring post driving ban.  I DID NOT clear the board every 6 hours.  I had a hard time punching through the bottom 3" of ice and crud.  Had to use a lacrosse stick in spots to get through.   The wind blown off areas are about 16-18", the more protected areas range from 22 to 26".   I'm shocked how much it's snowed in the 2.5 hours since I was last out.  Snow is up to the 1st floor windows in spots in drifts, 5+ feet.

I'd believe any report from 18-25" in this area.  Like I said, I did not measure enough, nor do I believe you can accurately get a full measurement in 70 mph gusts.  I'll try just back from the beach a little later.

Incidentally sounds like 25-27" in the Sharon/Foxboro Easton area.

I said I measured 27 but I try and be conservative, and went to bed last night at 1am while it was still dumping. We were in an excellent deform band from 1130 on all night, I have never seen this much snow, it blows 10-11 out of the water here, not even close.

yeah-crazy--my road is not plowed....hard to say truly how much we had...35 seems a bit high, but who knows with the wind.  all hail the Euro which had close to 3 inches of QPF...and the NAM which caught it with 24 hrs to go....

-

any idea if Rte 1 or Black Rock is plowed?

Went out for a ride in the truck it's plowed but narrow , huge piles in the middle of town. Not a single business open except for mo's liquor thank god because we needed some Guinness. Even the sea grape was closed, side roads not plowed... Thinking no school Monday just don't see how, cars stranded everywhere

Wow, some of these shots make my 19" look like an advisory event :) Farifield was just on News 12, it's just amazing how much snow they have there. Just got all the shoveling done outside, still pretty windy, it's blowing the snow around the rooftops pretty good. I sent the 19" to NWS and they included it in the report, I think it might be a touch low based on measurements around the neighborhood, but it's close enough, and i'll record it as the official total.

35 inches if done in six hour increments allowing for compacting/settling could easily be accepted i would think.
