so from 9 am or shortly after until 9pm there was at most 4 inches and it was wet with terrible snow growth and pulverized by the wind at poor rates etc

then came the band and we did not get into it quite like areas just to the south but from 9pm to3am we got another 17 inches

average depth 21 inches

will probably add two inches to storm total when all said and done for compacting as i didnt use a snowboard

I hope the sky dumps on you that still have a chance and for the others that did not quite get what you wanted.... THINK NEXT WEEK!!

Gotta hand it to the Euro and the NAM for the most part got this right, they might be a touch high on the amounts but with respect to intensity and track they were pretty good, the GFS however... :yikes:

Euro was rock solid and consistent on this from the beginning... it really did a fantastic job.

Absolutely incredible storm thus far here in Boston. I've seen it all...good rates...70mph gusts...thundersnow...huge drifts...chaos in the streets. Standing on an abandoned road as wind-driven pellets drive you back is an indescribable feeling. Probably 18-20" on the ground at least but it is hard to tell with the drifts.
