bboughton
Measuring ~17" here. Looks like it's barely snowing anymore, but should pick up soon. 17.4 I'm right by you and there's no point tonight where I thought barely snowing....

ORH_wxman
Look at the water vapor loop...look where the mid level low is...lol. Looks SW of the sfc low? That is a weird setup if I'm looking correctly. The N stream s/w has def helped keep the snow going well behind the sfc low.

bboughton
yeah, tiny flakes. Hard to estimate the total snowfall here at BC. I'd say at least a foot and a half, maybe more. It's picked up a little bit but the flake size is so small it just looks like pixie dust.
ORH_wxman
KORH gusting to 40 knots within this band. I'd be surprised if it wasn't higher....but ASOS has been crapping the bedall night, we've had so many house rattling gusts.

TheSnowman
It was 973 an hour and a half ago no? If this region starts filling in well and stops the motion of the def. band can we pull 8"-12" more by the complete end of this monster?
ORH_wxman
Radar looks awesome for E MA (after the central MA blitz)....the banding is widening for E MA...no surprise as the NW winds at 700mb collide with the NE winds there. I think a lot more snow is going to occur shortly for them.

Snow Bow
CON must be getting blitzed. It is snowing 2-3"/hr, but it is probably all downhill from here. Another 20 miles and it would have been like Jan 11. Probably the hardest I can remember seeing it snow in a long time. Measured about a half hour ago and got an average of 17"
