7.8" so far here via trained spotter in Mount Pleasant and personal measurements close to 8". Moderate snow continues as defo band slowly moves through.

Feels good to be dry slot free huh? from the looks of it 4-5" additional

Okay.  Turns out my measurement was a little low.  I trudged out a little further measured a few other places and it's actually about 7.5".

You're on the NE side of GR right? Looks like you might just escape the dry slot.

It looks like the the back end is re-intensifying a little over Lake MI.  Too bad there's another dry slot pushing in from the SW ahead of it.  You've managed to stay clear of dry slots and warm air intrusions.

For the most part... Getting nice, fluffy flakes right now.

You can pretty clearly pick out where the 850 low is tracking.  It's got an eye.  lol.  It looks like I'm right inside the eye right now and you're about to get the back end eyewall.

Haha...definitely! It is coming down heavily. What area are you in? Near Cascade..like by Calvin College?

A band of heavy snow is now lifting into northern suburbs of Metro

Detroit between Interstate 96 and M59. Recent observations and

radar returns suggest that snowfall rates will reach or exceed 2

inches per hour at times with this band. Motorists should expect white

out conditions through 3am.
