Allenson
Same set of plots at hour 42 (note the increased CSI layer depth where the meso band is): Very cool charts--thanks for posting those.
radarman
Tau tons new map give the whole CT river valley the middle finger of death. CT shadowing IMO may be overdone..it's the mesoscale screw zones like Ryan said...and that will not be able to be nailed down. Agreed Scooter. Mitch's maps look fantastic for this area as well, which should help compensate.

CT Rain
CT shadowing IMO may be overdone..it's the mesoscale screw zones like Ryan said...and that will not be able to be nailed down. Yeah the standard deduction north of the CT/MA border... but not expecting shadowing here. It's an issue of mesoscale subsidence.

wxmanmitch
Is subsidence on the side with the cold sinking air? Usually, yes. Think of it like a sea breeze circulation, except in the mid-levels. With sea breezes, warm air rises over the land to create clouds while cooler air subsides over the ocean and it's clear. CT Rain
Yep, I think you'll be ok though. JMHO. A BM track like the euro smokes you. Yeah it's really all about mid level features and mesoscale banding. A northerly wind in the boundary layer is not a big deal for CT. Up north a NE to NW wind will cause some shadowing in the CT River Valley... but this is a classic thumper for the I-84 corridor with a benchmark track.
