WeatherX
if those are even close to correct the totals will be astounding - potential exists for better than 10:1 ratios considering most models have temps at h7 around -10 to -12 Yeah, I can't wait to look at the detailed stuff when it comes out later.....pretty remarkable event getting ready to unfold. HIPPYVALLEY
Safe to say little sleep for many of us tomorrow night. You really want to stay up and watch some of those snowfall rates because they don't happen too often.

Patrick-02540
There is a sheep and goat farm down the street here. I just told the woman who manages it to be sure she locks up her animals. 75 to 90 mph gusts will practically send those goats into orbit.

HimoorWx
Good. And I agree someone on the south shore has a real shot at 35-40" particularly with OE enhancement. (norwood canton Stoughton, Sharon, Easton, etc). I'll volunteer for that in Randolph. Went out last night and bought snow shoes, and I'd love to get to some of the higher hills in the Blue Hills but it might be just a bit too far. hooralph
Has there ever been a storm that delivered 20" + to both NYC and BOS? Thinking... none of the storms of the last 20 years. '78... no. It's happened many times now for NYC down to PHL, BAL and DC (Miller A's). I'm guessing we still fall short here, but fun looking at the potential for that. Patrick-02540
Box is running out of colors for their map... Some of the various maps I've seen over the last few days were cycling through two runs of the same colors. Never saw that before.

ksstormhunter
Just able to update my Trendcast output with the 12Z GFS inputs. Initial Snow total for Boston is showing 25 to 28.8", Providence area around 23.4 to 25.5" possible. Generally showing light snow starting at Noon, and snow really increasing around 5PM. Still showing some impressive snow rates of up to 2.6" per hour. I have update my output matrix: http://smartwxmodel.net/MA.htm
