MarkO
Looks a lot more like 12 hr than 18. I think this is another for clown maps.
CT Rain
They usually need something like a gravity wave....ala Mar 2009, lol. They got smoked too in the 12/19-20/09 storm too IIRC. Yeah that 12/19-20 2009 storm crushed them with a perfect deformation zone. That almost never happens though lol.
HoarfrostHubb
Only calling for 12" in Boston, he is heavy on the mix train along the coast. I don't agree with his map, but his disco was good
powderfreak
I like this NAM run...pretty huge right to the Canadian border.
moneypitmike
One thing with GON and SE CT is even if you don't think they will mix...they will, especially in setups like this...there are, of course times where they won't but more often than not they do. Many if my dashed dreams of snow days growing up attest to thus. Just got to bDl
ctsnowstorm628
Yeah that 12/19-20 2009 storm crushed them with a perfect deformation zone. That almost never happens though lol. andyhb
@Paul: CIPS also had 1/8/96 near the top as well, although that wasn't as impressive an event for SNE as 2005 (although still a major storm), and this will be missing the Mid Atlantic getting destroyed. ORH_wxman
NAM is a torch for CT/RI...but it looks like its going to get its act together after 51 hours.
Ryan
Latest RPM...just awesome. Pick cities: Important to note (It may still be snowing here!) Portsmouth 41.8" Lawrence 38.3" Providence 34.3" Boston 32.8" Worcester 31.8" Concord, NH 24.8" Hartford 20.8" Hyannis 17.3" Just insane! It impresses me, but then I remember it had 18" for Lawrence up until six hours before the norlun and we ended up with 0.5".

CT Rain
I remember news crews ended up on Main St. in OS...LOL NAM looks solid btw That was me! I was there that Sunday morning in Old Saybrook across from North Cove. Seriously this storm does have potential in SE CT (more than most do) but there are a bunch of issues that still neet to be resolved.

powderfreak
NAM really warm for CT again...mixing up to BDL at 48h NAM is surprisingly large hit up here, lol. Hour 51 and 54 are very nice.
NorEastermass128
Hour 57 should be telling. It that explodes then we enter the realm of epic.
SR Airglow
NAM seems back to 12z, but it really has no support, GFS and EURO both disagree with it, and nothing else seems to agree with it for that matter. Nothing else gets mixing to BDL, not even close. Not tossing it, but taking it with a very large grain of salt. -skisheep

But yeah I think most of the shore has IP issues at some point. Its bound to happen for a time as the low gets its act together. Still I think 12+" is very possible even there. SR Airglow
NAM is one hell of a toaster bath for NYC and NJ. The trend today has been snowier for the city, and the NAM has complelty bucked it. Not sure if it's the NAM being the NAM, or if it's on to something... -skisheep

Very interesting to see that as an analog. The 500mb setup isn't even remotely close to what we're seeing here That we saw a vigorous trough working through the mid-section of the country with our main pieces of energy being down across the SE...seemed to be mainly southern stream energies phasing with the deep trough...although the northern stream was digging pretty far south so one of the pieces was probably with the northern stream

Clinch Leatherwood
NAM is one hell of a toaster bath for NYC and NJ. It's a later phase than the 12z nam. 18z was irrelevant. Nice hit, just later getting together than the earlier run.
moneypitmike
NAM really warm for CT again...mixing up to BDL at 48h Nothing else is suggestive of that, no? I'd say toss if so given it's poor performance if late. Agreed?
