Twitter Feed?

Okay, another dumb question. It is hard for me to read the posts from work on our computers during big events like this one.  And signing up for email notifications is a pain to my email inbox.  I see there is a 'push' notification option in my settings page, but what is that for? Push to what?  If it is text, that too may be too much. IS there any way to push a particular feed, such as one related to this upcoming storm to my twitter account?  

 

I know I can do a daily digest w/ my email but that is too long to wait with a storm approaching.  Twitter may be the best option. I saw a couple posts with posters referring to twitter posts.  Can anyone out there explain some options for getting real time updates from this board?
