SR Airglow
This is warning snow for the city North, East, and West correct? According to my interpretation of the GFS I see warning criteria, someone correct me if i'm wrong. Would be shocked if upton does not go with watches. -skisheep
Allsnow
SV snow maps are 2-4 south of city to Ttn. And 4-8 city north. Long Island is in the 4-8. Pretty similar to 12z euro yesterday
JSantanaNYC
12+ That's pretty good, thanks. Hopefully the models keep trending towards the European.

PB GFI
The Euro is about 10 MB deeper . So a slightly deeper surface and 6 hrs is the difference between the 2 . If you blended the difference , we are in good shape
Allsnow
Between hr 60-63 the city west all flip to snow. Also Long Island too

PB GFI
We need more than baby steps to get the Euro solution... phase timing is about 60 hours from now... No you are right there now . And I mean for warning criteria .
jm1220
Very nice trend on this run. I'd be more comfortable with a phase just a little sooner, but I definitely can't complain here. Just have to hope that the Euro doesn't back down and we could be in for it.

MJO812
The Ukie is a nice hit for the area. It also looks colder and slightly further east than the GFS. Anyone can confirm?
JERSEYSNOWROB
Per HM via Adam in the Philly thread: HM just texted me and wanted me to let you all know that he is doing the lord's work today for the great state of New Jersey and he'll be back later tonight. He likes north of TTN to get into the CCB.

mikemurph44
The gfs is showing an advisory/low end warning snow for the NYC metro. DT just had a facebook post (pam anderson) that kinda dampened my spirits. It makes sense though

SR Airglow
Upton will likely not going with any watches until at least tomorrow, especially for the coast That would suprise me, if something like the EURO verifies, it's 12+ for the entire reigon, and especially this winter with no snowstorms to date people need to be aware that it's coming... This EURO run will be telling though, what it does will be huge. Upton 6"+ in all of CT, and that was before 6z and 12z GFS which brought more snow into the area. -skisheep

Stormlover74
Just talking about a sharp cut off. December 2000 etc. not uncommon for a miller b. says anywhere from 3-12 in NYC can fall Yeah but a 50-100 mile shift from Dec 2000 means many in central/NW Jersey have to worry. Keep in mind Baltimore and DC weren't modeled to get shafted with that storm but did.

PB GFI
The Euro has been standing at the finish line for 2 days now , its taken the GFS 2 days first not to head the system out to Bermuda , next it took it NE and torched the surface and now it sees the CCB to the tune of 6 inches . If the Euro holds firm , you have to expect the GFS to take another step to it . The GFS goes to the Euro in almost all these bigtime systems . Yes would much rather be in SNE If the Euro stays the course , you have to buy it in my mind. The Euro phases it earlier and is deeper .I buy the Euro , I think its been the most consistent .
