the guy on News 12 Dave is really having a good discussion on this storm...he is blasting people on social media who put up maps and thinks thats exactly what is going to happen without taking reality of what storms do into the situation. He basically just declared this storm over for most of NJ with perhaps just some lighter snows later. He says the snow will be over for NJ by 2 AM and expects those blizzard warnings to be taken down.

He really seems like he knows his stuff. He said this was always New Englands storm. His station never bought into the big hype of big amounts

Dave Curren and Michele Powers of News 12 NJ are Kean University meteorology grads.  They know not to overhype. ;)

I think I'm going to limit my posting to the sports forum and these banter threads.  This storm sucked and kind of ruined my interest in weather.  We were in the 6" + range  accoring to multiple outlets at one point here in Collegeville but only ended up with a little over an inch.  I think I'm going to go back to just looking outside and being pleasantly surprised by snow instead of being let down.

Hey guys, my trip to NE was fun. I guess I picked the wrong location to be in the "prime zone", but who would have thought CT was going to be the best spot. I have no clue what I got but probably around 24-25"..I went to bed at 2am, woke up at 3am, nap, then 5am. Based on radar we got some of our heaviest snow from 3-5 which I slept through, but it was honestly so brutal to even be outside.

18z GFS ind. ensembles look good for thurs event..awaiting 00z!

Yeah that band CT got was pretty amazing...no way it could have been forecasted though in advance. The good part about this storm though was pretty much anywhere between CT and Boston got buried...there was no real screw zone northwest of the Cape. You know the storm was good when 25" wasn't in the jackpot zone.

That band between 3-5am was some of the most ferocious blizzard conditions I have ever seen. Just a remarkable combo of wind/heavy snow. But you certainly saw similar conditions before that anyway...maybe just a tick below what happened in the final band. It was a fun storm and helping out posters from other regions chasing it made the threads more interactive and fun as well.

So quakertown what was the end result did we score a Td or did we get stopped short?

Well....

I f I say no then Adam will go into his "Why I hate Snow" rant and if I say yes then all the folks that got notta, a trace or <1" will blow gaskets so in general I will say this was not our storm and we new this so any snow from this one was a bonus.

Well done with your first mod snow event.

Let's hope there are more to come!
