Well you can blame the Euro.

Yeah its insane. Of course we all want that but safe bet out this far is to find the middle road. Then again sandy and 12/10, 2 of my favorite events ever were handled oh so well by king euro.

I created this thread because its inevitable the mods (i guess they aren't up yet) will rip the main thread to pieces! (and rightfully so)

When you have one pro met going for epic boxing level blizzard and another going for no accums... Its a troll paradise as evident in whats soon to be surely removed.

I get it, but the Euro parade seems to be gaining floats so to say...

Can anyone message Snow88 with the RPM model snow map? I bet $20 that he will print it out and show it to his CVS store employees via hanging it up on the window. I am only 3 blocks away from his store, so that I could always check if he has done so if need be.

I put it on FB saying how ridiculous it was and people said its "overdue" and NYC hasn't seen a storm like that in a long time. Hype works.

I am still believing what Alan Kasper is forecasting - he has no hidden agendas - his forecast is a mix to start changing to rain except far northwest NJ where there will be an accumulating snow - no mention of a change back to snow later rest of NJ and no mention of any accumulations outside of northwest NJ ..........

The GFS even shows a change to decent snow, must be riding the canadian train.

I just think that the 1038 or whatever high in eastern canada is not strong in enough to lock in in this pattern with a lack of strong enough blocking - so the warm layers will win out - plus the mainly rain scenerio makes sense in this winter where it just does not want to snow significantly here and when it does it has limited moisture to work with.............

!038 is pretty strong, and where is it going to get that warm from(and not overcomeable) with relatively cool waters and a bombing low at the BM? GFS solution is completely viable and likely, I just don't see how at least a 3-5" snowfall area wide doesn't occur.

LOL. Maybe I should do that.

some of the analysis in the main thread of this storm is very interesting to say the least  - some folks throwing all types of high snowfall  numbers around for NYC and the rest of the area - going to be more interesting when everything starts going wrong again for most of the metro.............IMO time to start listening to the experienced METS in the region - still going with Alan Kaspers mainly liquid for NJ except Northwest

The question is: Would you take a kick in the nuts for the euro to verify? I've thought about this already and the answer is yes, provided the kicker is at most 9 years old and doesn't participate in soccer and/or martial arts.

of course, the fact that the gfs and even the nam to a point have trended towards a euro solution, make me stand in the middle of this right now. I would throw a 70% chance nyc gets 6+

JB in favor of the EURO solution - someone is going to set a record bust for NYC metro and NJ guaranteed - will it be JB or AK ?

Is that AK old forecast? I don't see how he could be right given that every model is giving us some snow, several show significant snows, if the Euro holds serve than he better start changing his tone or he will look like a fool.
