Quakertown needs snow
this was taken out of the nyc forum. I'm not sure how good the rpm model is, but take with tons of grains of salt Thats insane. looks like something the JMA would toss out there. Tons of salt on roads now
NaoPos
Still cautious about the euro solution.it closed off the H5 low over mD last night, hence the colder solution. I know the euro tended to over do the northern stream amplification this winter. Just something to keep an eye on. However, how many runs in a row has the euro been locked on with this? Hard to argue against it. Would like to see the gfs get on board, especially @ the H5 level.
phlwx
I have access to the RPM. The 9z run (which I looked at) has 2' on a line east/north from ABE to PTW to KOP to TTN to Sandy Hook NJ. 1' line is LBI to Glassboro NJ to Wilmington (roughly). As for its accuracy, I have not seen it in action prior to this storm with big storms in past winters but have been told it's whiffed badly a couple of times this winter on snow outside of 36 hours. Inside, it's pretty solid. this was taken out of the nyc forum. chubbs
Euro is impressive on wundermap. Closed 500 ,mb low over coastal Delmarva. Low stalls off NJ with prolonged wrap around. Agree to be cautious. Need to see if the other models come around.
famartin
I have to chuckle at Channel 4 using Cherry Hill (my town) on that map... but I would absolutely take that and be satisfied. I won't even believe that's in the realm of possibility until I see it in a major global. And why am I posting this a second time?
Ralph Wiggum
This is a true thread the needle situation for us down this way. It's all or nothing on the GFS vs the Euro and the RpM.

chubbs
03 SREF has much stronger coastal vs previous run. There are a few members that get good snow into PHL with roughly 20% chance of 4" in phl. Wasn't showing any snow in area previously.
chubbs
HPC has extended snow probs to SW to reflect Euro. Now 10% chance of 4" roughly to phl and 10% chance of 12" to NYC.

tombo82685
Once HM and adam bark on good snow for philly, then i will get the dog treats and leash ready. Till then I'm skeptical. Would like to see other models come around to these snowier outlooks.

NaoPos
GFS looking a litle better with the features as compared to 6z. Southern stream a little stronger, Northern stream digging a little bit, and obviously a little slower.
