free_man
Meaning you get 18" of snow on a regular basis? Cool. 12-18, yes. The last three years have all had a >12" snowstorm here.

wxmanmitch
Nice snow growth potential showing up on the 12Z NAM as the dendritic growth zone depth is approaching and exceeding 200 mb in some spots in that meso band. Snow will add up quickly if that's the case.

USCAPEWEATHERAF
12z NAM shows the 0C 2m line crashing southeastward to off the coastline by the time the heaviest QPF hits the region. THis lends credence to the fact that the heaviest snows won't be missed due to rain and we will see our 18" amounts.
SR Airglow
Probably around 1.00" give or take a little. Thanks much, although 10" seems pedestrian to the absurd numbers that you guys are going to see, it will be my biggest storm since 1/2011, so for me it will be something special, and still a nice storm by any means. I think about it this way, if 3 days ago someone posted a GFS/EURO run that had 8-12" for me, i'd be excited, so why should I not be excited for this even though it's not the jackpot? -skisheep

USCAPEWEATHERAF
I don't get going for more rain for coastal areas. I don't get it when the models show the temps crashing to the coastline before the best precip and lift moves into the region. Very peculiar. ryanjn
Winds could be damaging along the coast and maybe some areas inland too, especially SE MA and northward into Essex county. Typhoon Tip
Wild week of weather begins Friday... interim warm up storm, although it is not clear if there is stem-wound GL system, or just a muted warm sector on our doorstep, but then afterward, both the GFS and the Euro have Miller A threat.
