ORH_wxman
Wow, what a total and complete crush job on the Euro...that closing off of 500mb is epic and would support those QPF numbers.

OKpowdah
12z NAM mid level frontogenesis. Not only is the frontogenesis fantastic, but notice the dipole with the frontolysis ... that maximizes insane lift between the dipole there. SE MA up to Boston getting absolutely slaughtered
USCAPEWEATHERAF
Will, do you think the changeover is as bad as the local forecasters are saying it will be? I mean I think this system trends colder then modeled and a lot of people will bust on SE MA amounts.

ORH_wxman
You feeling good on this one now that 12z is in? Yeah how can you not? There is full model agreement on a total crush job and we are down to 60 hours now. Still some room for a wiggle or two, but it looks pretty gung ho. USCAPEWEATHERAF
Remember the Blizzard of 2005, a lot of local mets thought that a benchmark track will bring a nasty changeover or mix to the Cape and Islands. Pete Brochard had us in the 16-20" range, but I ended up with 35" and a slight mix. I think models overdo the mixing scenarios with the benchmark track. Brian5671
I suppose there is wiggle room east, but I don't think it will matter a whole lot or be something like another 75 miles or so. Euro's been pretty consistent-I'm sure we're seeing some model "noise" similar to that of a political poll where the leader shifts from a 5 to 7 point lead and then back to 5..... ChrisM
no one said it looked worse. Sorry I'm on my phone and I saw a bunch of posts that it was east. Confusing order because so many replies have been added. Speaking of, I don't have anything meteorologically to add so I'm going to stop posting for a while in this thread. GL to all!
