clueless
I'll keep this in mind next time you guys are getting slammed by a coastal and I'm IP'ing through the night The only coastal we can muster in winter requires a boat.
Subtropics
I implore you to post this sentiment twice a day every day in every pinned thread. It'll be great to have "punt the next two decades" posts mixed in with the JV punters who can't quite stomach a 20-year punt like you can. Lol this is money. Can I sig this please? MidlothianWX
My kids have gone sledding more times in Williamsburg than here at home in NoVa I was reading the diary of William Byrd in class the other day. When he began to describe his sleigh-ride adventures in ++SN near Williamsburg I nearly slammed the book shut in frustration. No mention of IP or ZR either. What a lucky guy. WxUSAF
ROFLMAO when it fails We just need to gut it out through a few more cold rains and warm rains until we get to Winter Storm WESley.
usedtobe
We just need to gut it out through a few more cold rains and warm rains until we get to Winter Storm WESley. What storm is that, hopefully not the feb 22 threat as it still is in la la land despite me semi liking the set up but thinking that the primary would track towards the OH valley if there actually is a storm. I don't know what TWC's W-storm name is...but since they got some of them from Star Trek, Wesley would be appropriate and maybe help you get on board

snowfan
Time to throw in the towel on this boring winter. There are a ton of robins in our yard right now. Damn birds think its April.

mattie g
Robins stick around all year in most of the lower 48. They flock in winter, then become more territorial as breeding season begins in the spring.

psuhoffman
Just read this on twitter from Bastardi. Joe Bastardi @BigJoeBastardi JMA/UKMET has the east coast snowstorm on weekend.. CMON ecmwf, will ya. Fla freeze threat too,but the bigger the ne storm, less the chc Seriously? Anyone see the JMA or UKMET to confirm? OK I know the "Hate on JB" thing is so 5 years ago but... excuse me this rant Ever since he moved to weatherbell I get the feeling he is shading his forecasts to be tailered more to what will keep his suscribers happy and not what is the most accurate possible forecast. He has become more vague, and no longer "takes out the trash" when he is wrong. He often makes a concrete forecast, then when its way off simply moves on as if nothing happened. Worse, he has become a master of spin. His winter forecast this year has been a total disaster for much of the nation and yet he refuses to stop defending it. He throws out obscure data from places no one cares about to justify why he had the right idea. Now, as its become way too late to save his seasonal forecast, he simply has stopped talking about it. He ignores that he needs massive snowfall in the mid atlantic to save him and acts like a blizzard in New England is some huge victory for him. Finally, worst of all, he has begun to manipulate data. He will do things like using observed weather from one station to verify a forecast made for another location. For instance using the final snowfall recorded at IAD to verify his forecast for DCA. To be fair to him, he does seem better for the PA and NYC north area but he is awful for the mid atlantic. The only question left for me with him is..is he really that ignorant of our region and climo, or is he that dishonest. rant over, my appologies

He still crows about Sandy as if it's his greatest victory, even though he had it going up the Delaware Bay into Philly (to verify his "Philadelphia Story") until VERY late in the game. As for "verifying" things with isolated random locations , he does the exact same thing with his global warming rants. "Record Low in McMurdo, Antarctica this morning" or some crap like that with "where's the media reporting on THAT". As if cold weather in some place on the planet means AGW is false. He's completely unscientific.
