Grothar of Herndon
Me too. Especially ones who can't think for themselves. They're like coke heads. They can be broke as a joke and they get tossed a free 8 ball but they still get pissed because it isn't a kilo Different kind of snow!!! LOL! weathervswife
Ended up with an inch here. A little more than that in Cville on Pantops. Nice surprise and so far it's sticking around with the grass covered.
needbiggerboat
Many NEers are naturally setting themselves up for disappointment. 3 feet is probably a 1 in 300 or 500+ year event, and everything has to work perfectly, despite some of the model QPF outputs. Scraff
Ok. I'll admit that I have TWC on for the next 24 hours without sound. I can't help myself. Want to see the Cantore meter stick buried. "NEMO" or not, it's amazing to watch the meteorology of this storm unfold. Still holding out hope that the Tommy T RPM gives us 2-4 of wrap around. Doubt it, but I'll hang on for it. I mean what else do I have?
das
Surprised to hear your temps have dropped. Got 0.5" in Frederick and my temps have now risen to 33.3F. Even the elevations above 1500' in Frederick are showing 31-32 range. Me too. I did a little checking and the closest weatherbug sites (Clarksburg HS and Little Bennett ES) are at 30.1 and 30.8 after highs of 32 and 33 respectively so while it is local, it's not just a MBY thing. I'm at just under 600' in elevation.

PhineasC
First week of Feb, a 996 and deepening low over Kitty Hawk moving NNE and a fat high to the north....Just looking at those two features, in isolation, most would have assumed a different outcome round these parts. It seems like all of these recent Miller A's have really lame precip shields on the western side.
North Balti Zen
I can't believe they are still looking at this models at this range. Its on their doorstep. Pull up a radar and look out the window.

ravensrule
GFS gives BOS less than 1.5" (less than 1.25"?) of QPF. Lol, like 12-18" is bad. The NE weenies make our areas look like amateurs.
WinterWxLuvr
Which is why no one should be rooting for them. Oh no only 1-2 feet! Cut em some slack. We'd be doing exactly the same thing if we had been modeled for 30". In fact, we'd be worse probably.

I don't think so honestly. Record breakers have exponentially more stuff that can go wrong than right. Everybody knows this but it's hard to remember sometimes i guess. catoctin wx
I promised myself that I wouldn't read the SNE forum for this, but that didn't work out. Glad I did though, I just learned that "jackpot" can be used as a verb, noun, and adjective.

I hope they get buried so deep that the cape breaks off and floats out to the grand banks. Hopefully, no one creates a new thread for that event until we get a little closer. I swear, I think we are jinxing ourselves with these 10 day out threads! Maybe superstition and luck are where it's at, in regards to getting a good snow event here this winter.
