harrisale
Ottawa's going to get it just as good, if not better, than Toronto. Don't worry. Hmm QPF is lower on all models but enhanced ratios may pile up the snow you're thinking?

snowstormcanuck
Hmm QPF is lower on all models but enhanced ratios may pile up the snow you're thinking? Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I saw that big blob of heavy snow being spit out by the NAM over eastern Ontario and just assumed it would include Ottawa. Looks like it's more of a Kingston-Cornwall corridor plastering. wisconsinwx
Just changed over to Snow mixed with sleet Similar to what it is here. Moderate snow and sleet with a thin covering of sleet/snow on the roads. It looks like the intensity is about to really ramp up, and hopefully with that a complete changeover. Ottawa Blizzard
Honestly, Environment Canada's warnings are so bizzare. I mean 6-10" is what they're calling for. That's a huge difference in totals.
Harry Perry
Still thinking 1-3" for the I-94 corridor... And that could be over done depending on mixing issues. Definitely a dry-slot region shown on models from AZO to JXN and south where QPF cuts from .50 to .25"
Luftfeuchtigkeit
Switching over to snow now. Over .1" of R-/ZR- last few hours which will come off the snow total. I think we'll be good for a few inches of concrete here.

sc2man13
First band of snow moved off of Lake Michigan and it is RIPPING! We already are nearing 1/2 inch and it's been snowing for about 30 or so minutes. Hopefully we can squeeze an inch off this band before the main show later. EDIT: GRR has bumped up point forecast for Grand Rapids: Today: High near 33. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around 4 inches Tonight: The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 26. East wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around 8 inches. With 6 inches of snow already on the ground before the show began, we could approach 18 inches of depth once all is set and done assuming that forecast verifies. Haven't seen that since GHD. Hopefully, this is a good sign for you guys around YYZ
