HoarfrostHubb
man people are ballsy for 3 days out. Silly season for TV mets... A few years ago Noyes was going bonkers with lots of 18-24" and we got an inch or so...took a while for him to get it back Pete B. can be good when he is on his game though
Bostonseminole
On Allan's site I'm getting the wrong date for the 18z gfs..

weathafella
18Z GFS gives MPM a nice deformation band...lol.
Clinch Leatherwood
GFS back to reality. Nice hit, lots of moisture from the northern energy, coastal "misses" in the pure sense but plenty of moisture around for a nice event.
dryslot
Not the bomb that 12z was but still warning snows for most of the region

weatherMA
The GFS is SE for sure but western mass get a foot of snow without even getting any snow from the coastal lol.
ctsnowlover
18z GFS says storm cancel, nice little 200+ mile shift SE..
CT Rain
18Z GFS gives MPM a nice deformation band...lol. 18z GFS is sweet for HFD points north and west. A bit ugly for Tolland!!!
weathafella
Still a warning event but not historic by any means.
Typhoon Tip
Walt Drag commented once to me that the 18z run is like a lower resolution ensemble member; not sure if that is still true - it was like 6 years ago. Just fyi -
CT Rain
18z GFS says storm cancel, nice little 200+ mile shift SE.. Except for the foot of snow it still drops around here.

Mr Torchey
Absolutely gorgeous deform band across western new england...................Very tasty.
weatherMA
GFS is a more routine 8-10" storm instead of the 14-18" at 12z....except it shows like 15+ in western mass. Works for me.
Patrick-02540
this question made me LOL. not because it's a bad question but just the wording. there are actually models run every hour. but for the global models -i.e. the gfs/euro etc - the computing resources needed are difficult to wrap your mind around. literally billions of pieces of data are assimilated. and of course, the balloons and planes. OK, I get it. Always a question I wanted to ask, and the vodka primed me. Thank you gentlemen. Thank you.
Ginx snewx
Just save this for your kids, probably be a while before you see a run like this
dryslot
The key was the s/w in the northern stream was weaker and further north this run and did not dig the trough far enough south before the phase and let the southern wave escape east some
Tropopause_Fold
don't want a shift SE and weak or late phase like that. think the qpf looks better than reality would be.
Johnno
18z GFS is sweet for HFD points north and west. A bit ugly for Tolland!!! Well take it! Lol... Anything greater then 6" will be nice
ctsnowlover
Except for the foot of snow it still drops around here. I would take it..I expect 0z will bring it back west anyway...Euro for the win
weathafella
I think if this wraps up it ends up closer to the close. Old Norm MacDonald's mantra was "the big storms hug the coast". Not that I necessarily want that...
