CT Rain
Nice to see some of the GEFS members catch on. At least the way this is modeled right now it may be tough for people south of the Pike to really cash in on this one. This has a classic CNE/NNE feel. CT Rain
I like the ENS look. Eh the individual ensembles suck. There's one camp with no southern stream involvement (so maybe we sneak out withan inch or two) and the ones with phasing give a mild/rainy/mix look for CT/RI/SE Mass. It's one of those cases where the ensemble mean really doesn't tell the story.
ctsnowstorm628
Thinking CNE is a good spot for this one. Maybe NH and ME as well as it really gets going.

Yeah Ed, could be decent if we can keep it along the coast instead of cutting west

CoastalWx
Euro ensembles se of the BM it seems, but they have that NW tug of the isobars into SNE. I still think the risk is progression.
dryslot
The s/w in the northern stream seems a little more potent over the last few model runs and was dropping some lt snows up here on its own before some were phasing it with the s/w in the south

It's possible that is what brings any snow too so we have a couple of options here.

CT Rain
Eh Euro, GEFS just beginning to come on board Yeah but not sure the GEFS look good right now. The ensemble mean doesn't tell a story that is a fair representation of what the members are showing.

Did not look at the individual members but from the sounds of it, There are a few really amped up ones in there that are skewing it?

Cold Miser
Rainer for SNe? Sounds about right. Cold temps followed by rain, followed by cold temps, a crappy dusting, cold temps and then a coastal for Central and Northern NE, and Rain for us. Sounds about right this season. CT Rain
Kevin has taken over the NWS BOX account NWS Boston @NWSBoston Stay turned snow lovers. Only 0.4" for Logan today. Seasonal total 9.2. Some models indicate a possible doubling of that total next Friday.

mfastx
I see two possibilities for Boston. Either it looks great until about 2 1/2 days out, then we end up getting D-1." OR It will end up being a 36* rainer. Heard it here first! lol
dendrite
18z GFS looks a little better with the nrn s/w, but the srn stream energy is lagging behind. At this point I'd glady take a near advisory event from just the nrn stream. More of us may even get in on the fun that way.
