MJO812
Same, a fan is usually enough for me, but it's no help when you're trying to sleep though upper 80's/low-mid 90's. I sleep with a fan during the summer. Good enough for me.

I agree with this, but I'm ready for a season change. This winter has felt way longer than average...likely because we had snow by Nov 7 and it only got "warm" for a brief period in between despite temperatures averaging above normal. Bring me warm summer nights ASAP.

Absolutely. When I lived on a 4th walkup it was absolutely brutal even with an AC. Unless it drops below 65 at night the AC's on though I much rather having the windows open with a fan I can't sleep if its too warm or humid in the room. My house was built in 1925 and I just can't imagine how they survived back then

Hopefully soon we'll be able to bust out the shorts.

Although I guess if you never had it you don't miss it.
winterwarlock
Those first sneaky warm days tend to over perform. It will not be a sustained warm pattern. It will vascillate back snd forth at first but next week looks like we can get our first spring type day

But any day that looks like low 60s can easily turn into a 70 degree day, especially away from the coast (and can just as easily turn into a cloudy low 50s type day if the wind shifts to an onshore flow)

If that happens we'll likely warm up or a day or two before a cold frontal passage.

Its more like a few days of 60s and 70s, then cold and rainy, a heatwave and then back to 60s and 70s, or just constant heat or constant cold and raw. Due to our proximity to the atlantic its very rare we get a pleasant spring for an extended period of time. I will say the drawn out winter going on 5 months will make that first spring day look like cancun around here.
SnoSki14
Before we see any big warmup, we have a strong cool shot to deal with, highs prob in the mid 40s with sub freezing lows. This weekend into Monday prior to the front will be very nice, Sundays more of a question mark but I think we will hit 60 on Monday.

Its possible but I think Saturday is the nicest of the next 7 days with mostly sunny skies, less wind and hopefully reaching the mid or upper 50s. Sunday will likely turn cool and damp by the afternoon and evening, Monday is a question mark regarding how quickly we clear out.

Not sure what else can be expected this time of year for the folks feeling the effects from the cool ocean temps.

In order to run a good weather forum you have to be very open minded and let people express their opinions no matter how right or how wrong they may be . Also you have to realize that the majority of members are just hobbyists and their scientific knowledge ( physics, math etc, etc. is limited ) . In addition you can't be a moderator and also be "one of the guys" at the same time unless you deal with everyone fairly. The biggest problem on this forum is people putting one another down and trying to bate them into confrontations for one reason or another using personal attacks and inappropriate comments.............. If it's on the banter threads there shouldn't be a problem unless it get way out of hand. But model and storm discussion threads should be more tightly moderated and if they turn into trollfests like they have been, posters should get the boot if they consistently can't behave. IsentropicLift
The 12z GGEM has the miller A storm but it misses us OTS. It also has another Miller A coming in right behind it as the initial coastal moves into the 50/50 position. Maybe that's the storm we shold be focusing on.
