IrishRob17
We traded our Mets and skilled hobbyists for 4 late round accuweather picks. Earthlight and doug are the Revis to a room full of Sanchez's. Well played!

NEG NAO
with temps above freezing anything that falls during the day is 7:1 ratio at best - timing is key here .............. Euro should be interesting......
earthlight
I was outside too. But my head was buried in my car looking for something. What a kick in the nads lol You missed a once in a lifetime meteor. How can you live with yourself now? The threat thread is plastered with weenies, how did this forum manage to get even more? I ask myself this every day. It's like one of those never ending ropes coming out of a magicians pocket.

I think of the snow goggles when Im reading an OBS thread, with all of the reports of "heavy" snow I have to make sure I didn't stumble into a Donner/Truckee forum. TWCCraig
48.4 degrees and sunny! Wonderful airmass for two days before a possible snowstorm. If we even get one...

TWCCraig
Lol. So your point is...its warm now and might snow in 2 days? I said it's a wonderful airmass because some people in the Spring thread said this is a great airmass. A great airmass for a snowstorm is 20's and 30's, but 40's, not so great. I'm not saying it's impossible to get snow when it's in the 40's a couple days before, that's happened many times.

TWCCraig
The "spring" thread makes me laugh. People fighting whether cold or warm is better. The thread is overran by people who love the cold but I'm just as guilty.

simpsonsbuff
I do get the feeling that the 8th event has really made the forecasters down in DC gun shy. Yes, it's late in the year... but to me these models look a lot better for them than they did for the 8th... Or maybe, I'm an idiot.
NEG NAO
12Z NAM is overdone - plus that cutoff gradient is overdone also............ I am still going with a coating to 3 inches throughout the immediate metro

I am still going with a coating to 3 inches throughout the immediate metro NAM is basically coating to 3" for everyone if you look at its 2mT. Sure the precip is there, but with temps that warm, don't expect much to accumulate. I agree with your call. Coating to 3".

SRRTA22
This is why people need to stop barking about huge storm potential 2 weeks away. It's happened all winter long, with the same exact result. It's annoying

TwcMan
Amazing how central NJ has basically been the borderline for almost every event this winter. In this storms particular case, it's the borderline for heavy snow and light snow.

In this storms particular case, it's the borderline for heavy snow and light snow. My guess is urban areas of Middlesex county down to Trenton do poorly in this event. They'll be on the northern edge of the heavy snow and probably won't have heavy enough rates to compensate for the above freezing temps. I could see Monmouth/Ocean counties away from the shore doing well though.
