das
That band in southern Frederick County is for real. Legit SN under it. 1 mile viz, I'd guess.

I see NAM sim rad gives DC-Balt a 3-4 hour pd of banding.

Deck Pic
i'd prob lean closer to .5" than a dusting imby. that would be sweet and perhaps probable if we get into a proper band.....Im actually in MTP...which I think will be good
TUweathermanDD
SV Hi-res NAM around .13 for BWI. As for DC, I'd say .

Hey wes, I haven't looked at soundings. Wouldn't snow growth be pretty nice if we get into bands, was wondering. 850's are good, obviously that means little, but I'd presume the growth would be better than 10-1. Plates or dendrites? WVclimo
Not sure the clearing I see moving in from the SW bodes well for the short term. Hopefully some sun destabilizes things.

Ian
Not sure the clearing I see moving in from the SW bodes well for the short term. Hopefully some sun destabilizes things. your area might get two bands.. keep seeing hints of a little secondary one behind the one that crosses much of the area. i might rather be a bit se for the first stuff but it's still developing. clskinsfan
Not a flake out here yet. Hope the RAP is onto something. Would be close to an inch for everyone if it verifies.
TUweathermanDD
LWX in their afternoon AFD is not impressed and says banding potential sucks Well unlike Ian, I don't like the radar that much, though I know its still getting going and modeling supports a band. Not too much forcing overall. Still like .5 for Iantown.
Ian
LWX in their afternoon AFD is not impressed and says banding potential sucksif you're looking for heavy bands probably.. it's not likely to be as intense as the other morning but it may be longer lasting. they upped my zone to up to 1" from little to no accumulation it seems.
