TUweathermanDD
Probably asking too much but what I would really like to see is a widespread 2 plus with one of these. It would make things a little more right all things considered. Pattern has the ingredients for sure bit the timing has to go just right. 4 chances to do it. If all 4 fail then we just plain suck at snow beyond repair. I like tomorrow night more than most, really like Monday though. Tuesday looks good on Euro, GFS no. TUweathermanDD
ughh....you've got to be fookin' kidding me I know, you're not when I saw the radar around 6AM I thought they would get clocked but more like 2-3" not almost 6" this winter really sux now I mean southern Jersey some spots got almost 8", and I know a guy who has 24" on the season...that will scar you. Bob Chill
honestly.. radar right now means almost nothing or fully nothing for us Radar means everything
TUweathermanDD
Radar means everything trajectory, moisture transport, intensity, lol it doesn't mean too much honestly Ian is right, but I certainly don't mind it looking the way it does. This is what makes the pattern fun. Lotsa chances at something modest happening. Its like buying 5 one dollar scratch tickets instead of one 5 dollar one. Yea the 5 dollar one has the biggest prize but having 5 chances at a smaller prize has better odds. We need better odds because our stats are in the crapper. Bob Chill
true.. i mean, we want to see precip for sure I was being a weenie. What we need is a nice vort passing just south of ezf with a crap pile of uvv's overhead and a deepening surface low in between. Radar can show bupkiss until that point and we are Dover+. Lol

Bob Chill
Good stuff Bob lol, so what do you think of the next one million, I mean 4 vorts this week. As is it looks pretty average imo. I'm hoping some of the hires sr models pick up on some sort of help with dynamics. Kinda like what the rap started seeing with this morning's. We need some improvement if anyone expects to get more than an inch. Plenty of time though. These things are tricky little features and models are much smarter than weenies. TUweathermanDD
Euro though having little precip has a 1016 low surface reflection showing up in SE VA. Possible RAP could show something when in range.

Bob Chill
Clipper is ragged and unorganized. No model is picking up on any "spin" once it clears the mtns. Mood flakes.

mitchnick
Why? 0.01 is < 1" they had everyone in the 1-2" category as of late last night GFS has been more enthused than the NAM has been so we'll see what it says NAM did come back at 12z and give "some" measurable after 6z had nothing

WinterWxLuvr
RAP does place some areas in measurable precip for several hours. Not out of the question some areas get dusted. The ground will be receptive to snow flakes. Down to 8.7 here last night. Cold. 15.6 now.

snownut
Full sun earlier now rapidly lowering ceilings with the heavy flurries marching east, certainly another dusting IMBY. Two 1.5" plus rainstorms in January and now February is continuing this awesome winter.

usedtobe
CHO stuff was virga. GFS fooks everyone. None of the clippers looks good on it. the best of the bunch (Monday night) has some precip but the vort really is weak looking as is any weak surface wave coming at us. For the clippers, a pretty bad run.
usedtobe
im ready for pd3... clippers are lame-o I don't mind them when they produce snowfall rates like yesterday's did over me but don't see any of the series coming up doing that.
HighStakes
Still have time for the Monday clipper to improve, but then again today's clipper and tomorrow's snow showers looked better at first then got worse as we got closer. What happened to Tue./Wed. clipper?
clueless
Friday's clipper wreaked havoc on our roads. I will take a pass. Everything just dried up east of the mtns, Surprised if a flake makes it through.
