appears to be about over here now.  measured 1/2".  flakes were more like feathers, and fell just as WinterWx described...sloowwww.  sweeping the snow was literally like sweeping down-feathers the way it would congeal in cotton-ball like puffs.  It appears to sit on top of the grass rather than filling in between the blades, so while it is 1/2" (measured on hard surface) it appears deeper than that on the ground.

This is just sad - observation threads about flurries.  This is what our mid-atlantic winter has come to.  The most exciting event all winter was the 70 degree days and flooding rains last week.  Shouldn't we put a fork in this thing?

If you're going to cancel winter, do it elsewhere, maybe in one of Ji's threads. Some of us got more than just flurries, and in any case, an obs thread is just that.....we post observations of whatever weather we see, whether it's flurries, SN++, or anything in between, even in a normal or even snowy winter.

Couldn't agree more. These type of posts are brutal to read. It has been a very wintry period for us. I've already had well over double the events from last winter. Events like last night are quite enjoyable if you can see the daylight if you don't have your head too far up your ass b*tching about the lack of a KU.
