OSUmetstud
super marginal for LES...I can't see us getting more than a couple inches. Looks like a good event for east/ese of the lakes when the real cold arrives through Friday night into Saturday.

champy
Maybe some decent LE here finally this weekend "WINDS WILL CONTINUE VEERING TOWARDS THE NORTHWEST WITH A 310-320 FLOW PATTERN EXPECTED BY LATE SATURDAY. THIS WILL ALLOW FRI NGT/S BAND TO DRIFT SOUTH AND POTENTIALLY START IMPACTING PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN FINGER LAKES AND UPPER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY REGIONS AS 850-MB TEMPS CONTINUE TO PLUMMET TO NEAR -20C BY 12Z SUN. LAKE SNOWS LOOK TO BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED THROUGH THE DAY ON SUN AS AN UPSTREAM GEORGIAN BAY CONNECTION BECOMES ESTABLISHED AND WINDS BECOME VERY WELL ALIGNED THROUGH THE INVERSION LAYER. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR FAIRLY DECENT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT BEFORE ACTIVITY BEGINS TAPERING OFF ON MONDAY AS 850 RIDGING BUILDS INTO THE AREA. WILL CONTINUE TO HIGHLIGHT SNOW POTENTIAL IN THE HWO PRODUCT AND FLAGS MAY BEEN NEEDED AS THE EVENT DRAWS CLOSER."
BuffaloWeather
Anyone see that bow echo meso low heading from Lake Ontario has convection at the tip of it. That's pretty amazing to look at on radar! heavy_wx
yawn. Lol. That's about how I feel for the lake-effect Tuesday night into Wednesday. Areas north of us may do well, but I'd gladly trade the couple inches or less we'll probably get for some 50 degree weather.

BuffaloWeather
It's a forum lol.. Blog/Forum...same difference bud...Use dictionary.com before you post with such authority. blog[blawg, blog] noun a Web site containing the writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other Web sites. BuffaloWeather
Anyways OSU what is your thinking on the upcoming synoptic events. Seems like the predominant flow is for the main system to break off to the west and never truly develop a miller A or B. Is that because the Jet stream is not conducive to such development? WNash
you need to relax and enjoy the weather my friend.Have a nice night!OK, before we just move on, correcting someone and saying "lol" in one post, then telling them to "relax" in the next, isn't very friendly. Not sure either response was appropriate.
