That last punch probably brought us up to .5 to .6 on grassy surfaces. Sun breaking through the exiting clouds to the east now, but clouds darkening to the west once more... H2O
I may have been near the jackpot. It still is snowing lightly and I measured 1.5" I'm now at 3.6 for the year. I blasted through last years total. Sweet, Wes. I've got about 1.5" so far and need anothe .7" just to tie last year.
mitchnick
honestly, it looks like 2/10/10 here for the past 5 minutes in fact, I can't see across the street!
aldie 22
no sun angle problem at least I'm sure that helped....it started snowing around 5:15 or so with the temp around 28 then it kept dropping until it got down to a shade under 23. I would imagine it wasn't very much liquid but the rates were good and the flake size was awesome. Streets gave up almost immediately. Very fun hour...I am like Matt, I love all snow no matter how small or fast. I never will poo poo any type of snowfall. This was great.
GEOS5ftw
Looks like 0.75 here...windy and temp dropped from 30 to 27 when the band came through. If this clipper train keeps up the next few days we are going to nickel and dime ourselves to a halfway decent seasonal total, at least compared to last year. birdsofprey02
Unbelievable: Carroll County Schools are closed; The high school kids were ALREADY at school and they closed. Kids are being sent back home. Do the people who make these calls talk to weather forecasters at all? The snow is done in Carroll.

I'd still much rather have caught Wes' band. Not going to pretend 1/2" is awesome for more than 20 min.

TUweathermanDD
Mitch is right, vis here with some 30mph gusts was about 1/16th. Heavy snow too, ending now, nice little event with the wind ans such. Someone in S NJ is gonna put up a solid number. I'll take 6 more of these, because another like this that develops just a bit quicker and its 2-4" area-wide.
Ian
Hopefully DC gets the good band on one of these. I think we've had more clippers this yr than any since I've been here already.

WinterWxLuvr
Just hit by a literal moving wall of snow. Via just over a quarter. Not even impressive on radar. Edit: now it's more sn+

WinterWxLuvr
This is easily my hardest snow of the season. Way less than 0.25 vis now Edit: I didn't sleep through it all after all.
North Balti Zen
Good for you all south and east of me. Not much up here, so far just about 1/4 of an inch with the first band. Freshened everything up nicely.

das
Squall that just moved thru Clarksburg was quite windy. 20mph winds for the 10 minute duration with three gusts OBE 40mph. 21.9F now.
EastCoast NPZ
Hard to even call this a dusting imby. Patches of ground where there is no snow at all. Seemed to hit the jackpot on wind again, however. Gusting to 37 mph so far. Oddly, temp is 19.7 here, yet 25 at KOKV. Seems strange to see that big of difference in well-mixed conditions. smokeybandit
Probably no more than 0.5" here, but, some pretty intense squalls with the wind on my drive up to Baltimore. Main roads were perfectly clear the whole time, but in true Marylander fashion, many on the roads drive like roads are covered in 6"
usedtobe
DCA 0.2"....lol... They never do well with clippers especially when their temp is near freezing. Still snowing lightly here.
