It's been sort of a spring like week really... more reminiscent of mid March starting the week off with a torch, getting an epic 3 hour wet snowstorm midweek and then losing all the snow from that yesterday and today.

Yep. Exactly like it.

Dunno....I know we are supposed to stop thinking about winter and have a welcome spring party, but looking at next week do you as a met see any spring? The Tuesday system looks like an icy mess and it's cold after that.

I def like the look next week. This Tuesday system does look to bring a mix of precipitation to the commonwealth with perhaps more of a snow event to the north central. I'm also watching that system that has been a constant fixture on both the Euro/GFS later next week as it has the look of perhaps being a pretty widespread winter storm. One of those classic bowling ball type tracks straight across the country. The key will be keeping the low.. low enough latitude wise to get us snow in PA. Forecasted development of a meaningful -NAO (finally) as well as a high to the north of that system looks to support that cause. The 12z Euro had a quick turnaround wacking us with decent southern stream storm toward the end of it's range and looked to have another one developing right on its heels. As always, lots of time yet.. but regardless of the finer details it looks quite active next week.

Thanks for the insights. What are the temps looking like next week after the weekend cooldown?

All this ripping snow talk in york? I live in york and its doing absolutely nothing. These people must live on top of a mountin

It had to come down at a decent rate at some point, it layed on the shoulders of 83 up to the mount rose exit. Temps today would have warmed up road surfaces significantly. Light snow would not have stuck.

Not seeing anything at all north of mt rose.

As much as I hate commuting from Lancaster to hunt valley, it's interesting just how much the weather changes in those 70 miles.

Started off rain with a few flakes in hunt valley, snow increased to the point where traffic was moving at 25 mph on 83 north, until tapering off to rain just south of York city. Then it changed back to a mix just east of York, and finally back to light snow in my backyard.
