canderson
I'm hoping we get nothing; we have to run up to NYC early Saturday morning to meet some friends for a matinee. My luck we'll get a mini blizzard right then!

JamieOber
Cashtown can you find williamsports? thanks man. 25.5 Go here: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/climate/xmacis.php?wfo=ctp Then go to NOWData tab Default is monthly average/totals. Then choose Williamsport under location, then snowfall under variable, then current year. You can also see averages and other data.

JamieOber
Willamsport is right around normal so far, State College is above, but looming for us to get to average is how much of a crap shoot March is. As you all know, March can either be a shutout or very snowy.
JamieOber
good tool but leaves lots of data out with missing sites. It's easy for Williamsport, though, and it's the official numbers. Which tool are you using?

JamieOber
Question - looked at Cocorahs new snow and precip numbers, seemed like this event had a pretty good ratio going for it up here. Surface temp was low-mid 30s during it. I guess the temp was better in the snowgrowth region of the atmosphere so it was higher?
Cashtown_Coop
That's great, thanks! Your site is great for anyone living near major airports. I will try to fill in the gaps with any data I have access to . I Checked Williamsport coop data and it has missing data since jan 2013. Not sure what's up. Hoar_Frost
9 miles from here to Boalsburg, so yeah. Measured 4.4" at my apartment in State College about a mile south of downtown. I'd say there's about 3.5" here on campus (at Walker Building). There certainly is a considerable gradient.

I think this moves through too quick to be anything other than some flurries... with highs tomorrow in the mid to upper 40s I believe we miss out on a quick inch of accumulation with temps not falling fast enough
