If you look at the GOM, it's pumping moisture. That's a plus. IIRC every step the radar has outperformed the model expectancy.

 

That said, this is the type of system that will absolutely screw someone while 20 miles east/west they get plowable snows. Especially true in those deform bands along the coast - what a challenging forecast for the mets. Don't envy them.

 

As always, if I get 2" snow I'm fairly content. If I get 4"+ I'm extremely happy. If I get 8"+ I'm beyond thrilled.

Yeah this isn't "our" storm, so a 2-4" here (which the SREFs/models seem to indicate) would be great. More excited to watch the NYC-BOS corridor get destroyed, they've had a pretty crappy couple of winters, worse than here.
