cyclone77
Only 2 places in Iowa reporting snow right now, and both are at 10 miles. Not overly impressed with this system at this point. Looks like most will miss northeast anyway.
Geos
Got a little 0.20" bullseye near Galena, IL. Dubuque will be adding to their monumental total this winter. My grid is up to 2-4" now.
Chicago WX
So either a couple of tenths (12z Euro/18z NAM) or 3" (18z GFS) for LAF. Awesome. EE rule in effect.

IWXwx
Doesn't look too bad for FWA though. We'll see. However you slice it, it's a sad winter when 2 1/2" is considered a "good" snowfall.

snowlover2
Most forecasters going for around 3 inches in total in western ohio for the 5 days. Guessing you're just being a downer again. Local mets calling for 3-4" for this one alone.

Stebo
I'm surprised they didn't go with a WWA especially with 2-4" forecast to come in a short overnight period.
Ottawa Blizzard
Whole pattern reminds me of 09-10. Warms my heart. At least 09-10 was colder and had that storm on December 9, 2009. Looks like this is another winter along the lines of 1952-53. I just really hope we don't get another socrching hot summer, although drought usually leads to heat. Just the next week our so with all these storms getting suppressed to our S & W. And the storm we saw on December 26-27, 2012 exceeded the amounts of snow dropped by the December 9, 2009 storm. But I'm guessing you were in Ottawa at the time and that Dec. 2009 storm was probably better up there.

Geos
I'm surprised they didn't go with a WWA especially with 2-4" forecast to come in a short overnight period. They said in the disco. that if it would have been a chance of 5" amounts they would have posted an advisory. Seeing the first few flurries here already. The column is saturating quick. Stebo
meh, middle of the night and 3"+ amounts will be the exception. Eh still following the definition of a WWA, there probably should be one out. Though if it were a work night, I'd expect one.
