PM AND AFFECT THE CHICAGO METRO AREA WEST TOWARD DEKALB BETWEEN 1
AND 4 PM. SNOWFALL TOTALS SHOULD AMOUNT TO GENERALLY LESS THAN 2
INCHES...BUT SNOWFALL RATES COULD EXCEED AN INCH PER HOUR WITH THE
MOST INTENSE SNOWFALL. PERSONS TRAVELING THIS AFTERNOON SHOULD BE

meh...there are some impressive dbz's in that band but it's moving super fast...I think it's the right idea but amounts will be under .5" across the board.

everything about it screams mostly liquid for MBY...you might manage a couple inches before the WAA wins out.

 

Given the surface low development to our SE and the snowcover, as well as the fact that most models are catching on to a decent event from N Illinois/S Wisconsin ENE from there, you are way underselling the potential.

MSN recorded 0.06" liquid between 10 and 11am.

1.4" of snow today, not bad. Brings the yearly total up to 38.6" at MSN... some spots in the region probably breaking through 40" today I'm sure.
