LOT...

849 PM...EVENING UPDATE...NO CHANGES PLANNED TO CURRENT ADVISORY
AND AMOUNTS. DESPITE CURRENT RADAR REFLECTIVITY...WITH CURRENT 88D
CALIBRATION ISSUES ASIDE...ONLY FLURRIES/VERY LIGHT SNOW BEING
REPORTED AT SOME LOCATIONS. WITH TIME...LIGHT SNOW THAT IS
REACHING THE GROUND ACROSS NORTHEAST IA AND SOUTHWEST WI WILL
SPREAD INTO NORTHERN IL LATE THIS EVENING. AS THE SURFACE LOW
APPROACHES...SNOW WILL INTENSIFY INTO/ALONG A RATHER NARROW BAND
THAT STILL APPEARS TO MOVE ACROSS NORTHERN IL AND DON/T HAVE ANY
ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE/CONFIDENCE TO SHIFT THIS NORTH OR SOUTH.
THOUGH AM CONCERNED THAT IN THIS NARROW BAND AMOUNTS COULD BE
CLOSER TO 5 OR 6 INCHES BUT THESE AMOUNTS ALSO ALREADY NOTED IN
CURRENT WSW. WILL MAKE SOME MINOR CHANGES TO POPS TO ACCOUNT FOR
CURRENT TRENDS.

TEMPS ROSE A FEW DEGREES EARLIER THIS EVENING AND WITH MID CLOUDS
HAVE REMAINED FAIRLY STEADY. BACK EDGE OF THIS DECK WILL BE MOVING
EAST ACROSS THE SOUTHERN CWA AND COULD SEE TEMPS DROP SOME WITH
PARTIALLY CLEARING. SHOULD BE SHORT LIVED WITH ADDITIONAL CLOUDS
SPREADING BACK ACROSS THE AREA AND EXPECT TEMPS/DEWPOINTS TO
SLOWLY RISE OVERNIGHT. CMS

Even though every forecast has me higher, I'm going with one inch here, and hoping I'm wrong.  It'll all settle if it's only an inch anyway.  The one positive for those on the northern edge is it looks like the radar is filling in near and just north of the MSP metro area.
