Then there was the time I had a mouse in my washing machine.  I stuck the pellet gun under the lid and fired.  The pellet wanged around inside and came back out and hit me in the forehead.

Now you know why your parents would never get you that Red Rider BB gun. You're lucky you didn't put your eye out.

Would that really be the first thunder and lightning of the year for you down there??? That's pretty amazing considering where you are. We even had some pretty good storms the other night when it was in the mid 40's.

Yeah no thunder and lightning since September or better yet good rains since September. Everything just weakened as it arrived. Now we have been cashing in yesterday and today and we should get it good on Monday.

33 and rain is the word for monday night in frosty land!!!

I was referring to the state unc game. I still think you edge out some front end winter precip. The pattern for FEB has reversed itself back to normalcy finally. Every 3 or so days its mid 30s and all kinds of different precip, mostly cold rain which is typical. We are gonna finish with negative departure temp wise and plus precip. Hopefully the trend will pick back up next December.

Wow, Opossums, black snakes, lady butt bumps.  All in my areas of expertise, lol.  Most fun first.....

Lady butt bumps.. easily reduced with a warm hand making slow circular motions while whispering sweet nothings... No, wait...that's to induce butt bumps, and arm bumps, and other bumps....hmm....well, back to this one later..

Ok, black snake..welcome the black snake.. hold him in reverence...he will keep the copper heads that have been eyeing you away.

Opossums.... I get them coming in the cat door, along with racoons, and stray cats....and maybe even tiny big feets...not sure about that one.  Anyway, bb guns are great deterrents, no blood, not much pain, just enough irritation to  send them packing. After they have left the house, or before, depending on if you live alone, or have someone with refined tastes living with you like CR..lighting off a pack of firecrackers always has the effect of setting the lesson firmly in place.  Repetition always trains animals.  After getting thumped a few times they go away.  Careful though, as I had my car parked outside the house lined up with the cat hole, and I spidered my wind shield getting rid of a yearling raccoon  a few years back, lol.   Then there was the time I had a mouse in my washing machine.  I stuck the pellet gun under the lid and fired.  The pellet wanged around inside and came back out and hit me in the forehead.  I won't do that again.  That was the second time I had that happen.  Repetition is the key to these things.

If you want to take the time, every cat has food it won't eat...find yours, apply hot pepper, no more possum.  Again, may require repetition....and if the offending critter likes the pepper, then peppered critter with most anything is tasty.  T

Firecrackers are a great tool

I thought the same thing

Whoa brother - that really IS a good book.

I suggest 'Nerd Do Well' - the autobiography of Simon Pegg.  Wait....that was for Tony.

Tony, I found a book for you....

I just finished The Passage and The Twelve. I'm enjoying Apocalyptic fiction right now.But I will read almost anything.

The Frontiersman.  You'll find out how all these towns around the south got their names.  Amazing American history read.  The footnotes are the best part.   Best book ever...War and Piece.  I used to read that once a year or so, but now the print in the unabridged version is like reading a phone book, lol.  T

Isaac's Storm. I hate reading. Loved that book. In fact, it might be the only book I've ever read other than maybe the complete works of Curious George, Green Eggs and Ham, and Postman Pig and His Busy Neighbors. :)

Best post of the year nominee. And that coming from someone who hates reading. Haha! Very well done, Tony!

And where are the State fans?

Hi Bliz! Congrats! New lineup for UNC is working great. Played with great intensity and effort tonight. We were sloppy, lazy at times, and looked like we generally didn't want to be playing, other than Howell and Woo.

CJ Lazly is one of the biggest underachievers I've ever seen. Bullock is a great shooter....and Hairston. Maybe one day we'll play with a consistent effort and intensity and purpose. Maybe not. In any event, good win. You guys are getting it together at the right time, while we continue to show no growth at all. Congrats....maybe we'll run it back in the tourney!

I triple posted in there. All the Florida people are gone lol. I'm lonely down here.

There's only like 3 of them. They're probably out doing something fun on Saturday night instead of hanging out on a weather board. Haha. We need more Florida posters. You should drive down there and recruit some.
